Danii made it to the top 100, but had to leave the show due to illness. Although she didn’t win, Danii caught the recording bug and decided to dedicate her efforts creating her own music.
Known for her charisma, powerful vocal range, and dynamic Retro signature sound, she brings unforgettable live performances to the stage. As life imitates art, her debut album Memoirs is a collection of memoirs based on a storybook romance that ends before it even starts. In Roundtree's words: "Memoirs is an album written from true life events. We all have that one love story that ends before it starts, and I just so happen to be a singer-songwriter who documents through song. This album is literally a collection of my memoirs. All the records are personal. The sound has a throwback feel that is jazz-oriented with funk and soul elements, cleverly coined as 'retro'."
Her current single "Crave" has received critical acclaim, which has helped her garner major street buzz, and led to her getting major press exposure, and the opportunity to perform at many notable Festivals including: The 40th Annual 2017 Atlanta Jazz Festival, and the 2018 Atlanta Pride Festival. Most recently, Danii’s song “Come Home for Christmas” was chosen for Wayfair’s “You've Got Wayfair” Holiday Campaign commercial airing nationally on television throughout the 2018 holiday season!
